No man`s playground
Project description
We often hear that the city is being developed for the future, for the children who will get to live in this ”bright future”. But no one cares about how the built space looks like nowadays for our children, especially in the neighborhoods that are developing on the outskirts of the city. In all this hurry of the building process, nobody is willing to sacrifice a plot of land and place a playground or to include in collective housing projects, spaces destined for children. The series of photos „No man’s playground ” follows the way in which playgrounds end up being improvised by parents, located next tot the collective housing that are mostly isolated in the fields. The photos are taken in the peripheral areas of Timisoara where urban development is completely chaotic and the phenomenon of ”urban sprawl” is extremely present. These images are part of a larger photographic project, started in 2020 which documents the chaotic developments around the city.

Fotograf și arhitect, absolvent al Facultății de Arhitectură și Urbanism din Timișoara. În prezent este implicat în scena artistică și culturală locală, colaborează cu Jecza Gallery, Arteditions.ro și este vice-președintele Asociației pentru Patrimoniu Activ - PACT . În perioada 2020-2021 a fost manager cultural în cadrul proiectului Beta - Bienala Timișoreană de Arhitectură (proiect al Ordinului Arhitecților din România - Filiala Teritorială Timiș), iar din 2014 este îndrumător voluntar în cadrul proiectului De-a Arhitectura în orașul meu.
